Section 67-1a-7 provides that "Except as otherwise provided by law, the lieutenant governor, or the lieutenant governor's designee, is authorized to use or affix the Great Seal of this state to any document whatever and only in pursuance of law, and is redsponsible for its safekeeping."

The statutory provisions of Sections 67-1a-7 and 67-1a-8, and Subsection 67-1a-2(1)(a)(iv) continue to apply to the Lieutenant Governor, thereby prolonging the need for this rule to remain in effect.
