NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION

Subsection 26-39-106(6) excludes parochial education institutions as child care facilities.

 

Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:

No written comments have been received supporting or opposing the rule.

 

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

Utah law requires church-owned child care facilities to be licensed, but exempts church-owned educational facilities. This rule defines the difference so businesses can determine if they are required to obtain a license, and therefore the rule should be continued.
