NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION

Concise explanation of the particular statutory provisions under which the rule is enacted and how these provisions authorize or require the rule:

Subsection 19-4-104(1)(a)(iv) authorizes the Drinking Water Board to adopt this rule which governs the protection of ground-water sources of drinking water.

 

Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:

No written comments have been received either supporting or opposing this rule

 

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

The continuation of this rule is needed because it sets forth minimum requirements deemed necessary by the Drinking Water Board to establish a uniform, statewide program for public water systems to protect their ground-water sources of drinking water from contamination.
