NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION

Concise explanation of the particular statutory provisions under which the rule is enacted and how these provisions authorize or require the rule:

The purpose of this rule is to establish the basic health and safety standards for Outpatient Treatment facilities per Subsection 62A-2-106 (1)(a).

 

Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:

Licensing has not received any written comments on Rule R501-21 from the time it was made effective up to the five year renewal date.

 

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

The purpose of this rule is to provide protection to those individuals and families who have the physical and emotional status that allows them to continue to function in their usual living environment while participating in therapy or counseling that is designed to improve and enhance social or psychological functions. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
