NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION

The rule was enacted under Sections 41-1a-231, 72-9-201, and 72-1-201 that give the Department authority to issue rules for the regulation of motor carriers.

 

Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:

No written comments have been received.

 

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

The Department's authority to issue rules for motor carrier safety has not changed and this rule continues to fulfill that role as regards to special equipment. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
