Section 4-9-2 authorizes the department to make and enforce such rules as in its judgment are necessary to administer and enforce this chapter.

This rule allows the Department of Agriculture and Food to accept voluntary registration of an individual or agency that provides acceptable evidence that they are fully qualified to install, service, repair, or recondition a commercial weighing or measuring device; has a working knowledge of all weights and measures laws, orders, rules and regulations; and has accessible for his use, weights and measures standards and testing equipment certified by the department. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
