This rule is authorized by Section 64-13-17 which allows the Department to make rules concerning visitors to correctional facilities and the procedures necessary to maintain safety and security.

No comments have been received by the Department.

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

This rule should be continued because it provides the policies and procedures controlling visiting at Community Correctional Centers, which are necessary to maintain the safety and security of staff, offenders, visitors, and Center facilities.
