This rule is authorized by Sections 63-46a-3, 64-13-10, and 64-13-17 which require the Department to provide programs and rules to accomplish its purposes. This rule provides the policies and procedures for sponsors working with offenders in the Community Correctional Centers.
Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:
No comments have been received by the Department.
Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:
This rule should be continued because it provides the Department's policy for applying to be a sponsor, and sponsors accompanying Community Correctional Center offenders into the community.
