This rule is authorized under Section 64-13-10, and Subsections 64-13-14(1) and 64-13-17(2). The rule provides the Department's policy, procedures, and requirements for conducting searches.

No comments have been received by the Department.

This rule should be continued because it provides the policies and procedures for conducting searches, in a lawful manner, and helps maintain safety and security for staff, inmates, visitors, and correctional facilities.
