This rule is authorized by Subsection 53-6-105(k). This subsection describes the duties of the director of the Police Academy. This gives the Director the authority to make administrative rules.

There have been no written comments received in supporting or opposing this rule.

This rule outlines the rules that are required to uphold for a basic Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) trainee to observe while attending a POST class. It also outlines the basic requirements needed to graduate from a POST sponsored training program. It also outlines the rules and the consequences for breaking the rules. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
