NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION

Concise explanation of the particular statutory provisions under which the rule is enacted and how these provisions authorize or require the rule:

Subsection 53C-1-204(1) and Section 53C-1-302 authorize the director of the School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration to prescribe the general land management objectives for school and institutional trust lands.

No written comments have been received by the agency for this rule.

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

This rule outlines the objectives of the agency in fulfilling its fiduciary duty to the trust beneficiaries with regard to the use and disposition of these trust lands. It helps to clarify for the general public and other governmental entities the purpose for which these trust lands were designated. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
