Section 26A-1-116 mandates the establishment by rule of a formula for allocating funds to local health departments.

Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:

No written comments have been received, although consultation with local health departments is constant and ongoing.

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

Fair allocation of funding to local health departments is necessary for the provision of public health statewide. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
