NOTICES OF EXPIRED RULES
GENERALLY
These Notices of Expired Rules were published in the May 15, 2008, issue, Vol. 2008, No. 10, of the Utah State Bulletin.
Statute provides that "every [administrative] rule that is in effect on February 28 of any calendar year expires on May 1 of that year unless it has been reauthorized by the Legislature. " In addition, "the [Legislature's] Administrative Rules Review Committee shall have omnibus legislation prepared for consideration by the Legislature during its annual general session. " The form of the legislation is a statement that all administrative rules are reauthorized, followed by an exception list of rules that are not.
A portion of the codified rule listed below was not reauthorized by the "Reauthorization of Administrative Rules" bill considered by the legislature during its last General Session. It expired on May 1, 2008.
The expiration of administrative rules that are not reauthorized by the Legislature is governed by Utah Code Section 63G-3-502. The Administrative Rules Review Committee is created by Utah Code Section 63G-3-501.
