Concise explanation of the particular statutory provisions under which the rule is enacted and how these provisions authorize or require the rule:
Section 63-11-17-2 states that the Division of Parks and Recreation has the duty to protect state parks and park property from misuse or damage and to preserve the peace within state parks. The park rangers have peace officer authority to do so. This rule supports this section of the code and refers to the Criminal Code regarding offenses against persons and property. It also prohibits a person from participating in a posted restricted activity.
