Section 72-7-402 gives the Department of Transportation the responsibility for Transportation, Motor Carriers, and Ports of Entry.

The Motor Carrier Division has reviewed this rule and has determined it to be applicable and consistent with the manner in which the agency deals with trailers exceeding 48 feet in length. Therefore, this rule should be continued.
