NOTICE OF REVIEW AND STATEMENT OF CONTINUATION

Concise explanation of the particular statutory provisions under which the rule is enacted and how these provisions authorize or require the rule:

Section 53B-6-105 requires an administrative rule under Section 53B-6-105.7 to provide policy for a computer and engineering scholarship program within the state system of higher education. This program is intended to encourage studies in related fields which lead to employment within the state of Utah for scholarship recipients.

Summary of written comments received during and since the last five-year review of the rule from interested persons supporting or opposing the rule:

No comments were received during the past five years since this rule was last reviewed.

Reasoned justification for continuation of the rule, including reasons why the agency disagrees with comments in opposition to the rule, if any:

This is a scholarship program that has not been terminated and thus the continuation of this rule is needed in support of this program as enacted by the Utah Legislature.
